What is environmental translation?

Environmental translation falls under technical translation, being a highly specialised area in which different strands come together, each with their own specific terminology and particularities.

It requires an in-depth knowledge of the field field in question and is characterised by an abundant use of neologisms, since it is an area of knowledge that is undergoing constant transformation, adapting to different realities and new scientific advances.

Owing to my professional experience,
I have specialised in the translation of:

  • Waste management and transport plans

  • Corporate sustainability documents

  • Sustainable city plans

  • Environmental impact assessments

  • Product sheets for organic products (ingredients, processing, etc.)

  • News, research and scientific articles

  • Specialist books

  • Protocols for the protection of the environment and biodiversity

  • Environmental information brochures, flyers and catalogues

I can help you communicate and translate your environmental achievements so that your message reaches your target audience in a clear manner. I will ensure rigour and accuracy when translating your content, allowing you to focus fully on continuing to care for the planet. I can be your voice.

Do you need someone to translate or review your environmental documents?

Do you have a meeting with a potential foreign partner for a sustainable project and need someone who knows your sector to accompany you?

Trust in my expertise so you can focus all your attention on working towards your environmental goals.

My commitment to the environment is reflected in my both personal and professional life.

    As a freelance translator:

I share an office that I walk or cycle to each day and I don’t use a car to get to my interpreting assignments unless there is no public transport available

I don’t fly to my interpreting assignments; I only accept those that are close to where I live

I carry out a digital clean-up every six months to avoid overloading and overuse of my computer battery

I apply the Inbox Zero method and regularly delete the files in the recycle bin

I use spaces with natural light whenever possible

Whenever possible, I buy second-hand electronic accessories (computer mouse, hard drives, monitors, etc.) and I don’t have a separate mobile phone for work, to avoid buying additional electronic equipment

I have given a course on ethics and responsible work practices via the TranslaStars platform. You can check out the course here
